Recognised with a Medal (OAM) of the Order of Australia, has devoted nearly six decades to cricket as a scorer and volunteer. His journey began at Essendon Cricket Club in 1963, driven by a lifelong passion for the sport nurtured since childhood. Walsh's dedication saw him score during 17 international tours with the Australian cricket team, including notable successes in England.

Lawrence 'Lawrie' Barnett, appointed as a Member (AM) of the Order of Australia, was honoured for over 40 years of service as a coach, umpire, and administrator in Australian rules football and Little Athletics. He holds multiple life memberships, reflecting his enduring commitment to grassroots sports.

Alan Wickes, awarded an OAM, contributed significantly to the Frankston community through Australian rules football, serving as player, coach, and president across various clubs and leagues over several decades. His leadership extended to the Victorian Football Association and local junior leagues, where he established lasting institutions.

Janet Howard, another recipient of the OAM, has been integral to cricket as a scorer at Ringwood Cricket Club since 1973 and as a founding member of the Victorian Umpires and Scorers Association. Her roles underscore her longstanding dedication to the sport at both local and association levels.

George Voyage, recognised with a Medal (OAM), has made enduring contributions to amateur Australian rules football and cricket, alongside administrative roles in the Victorian Amateur Football Association. His commitment spans more than 50 years, emphasising the community-building aspect of sports.

Each honouree expressed humility and gratitude for their recognition, emphasising their passion for sports and community involvement above personal accolades. Their stories highlight the profound impact of sports volunteers and administrators on Australian society.
